Dr. Seuss Week

"The Foot Book" we measured our feet with cubes, paper clips, and a ruler with our big buddies from South Bay.

"The Cat in the Hat"
TK used thier fine motor skills to create paint mosaic renditions of The Cat in the Hat. Kindergarten sorted rhyming words, wrote rhyming words, and created an ABAB pattern with the words. Kindergarten also using listening and number knowledge using a hundreds chart to read The Cat in the Hat.

"Horton Hears a Who"
TK used thier fine motor skills to cut out Hortons trunk to hold the speck of Whos.

We ended outer week with science exploration of Oobleck from "Bartholomew and the Oobleck." TK and Kindergarten made a chart of how Oobleck looked, felt, and smelled. Kindergarten wrote about thier observations and drew a picture.

"One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish" using painting technique of how paint does not stick to crayon-magic.

The theme of Read Across America was "Oh, the Places You'll Go!" All students decided what they wanted to be when they grow up.
